Social Media Reach

Social Media is a great platform to market the film festival . We can do a lot more to market the festival on social media than creating a Facebook page. We must give a reason to our users and followers to follow us on social pages and be active on it as well. We will be sharing what’s coming, updates, interesting posts, sneak-peeks and fun facts, and will be responding to comments. Communication is the key so we will try to read and answer most of the comments throughout the campaign. This will engage the potential audience and also interest new visitors and will eventually encourage them to ask questions as well.

Facebook : when it comes to designing our Facebook Page, we will make it visually compelling to drive engagement. We will be posting frequent timeline updates, keeping it visual, balanced, and engaging as Photos and videos typically generate the most engagement on Facebook. So we will incorporate this into our strategy, while balancing the type of content we post. We will be posting frequently throughout the week, using Buffer or Hootsuite to manage scheduled posts.

Using Niche Social Networks : Instagram and Pinterest – We will use Pinterest to highlight the best independent films. With a decent amount of followers, we will persuade our followers to actively share the film festival pins on their own wall – enabling them to spread virally.

Hashtags and live stories: We will run a lot of contests based on hashtags (Hashtag challenges) and live stories.
